P7 Suggested Home Learning Tasks for 23-27 March

A reminder that these are just SUGGESTIONS for those that have the time to do them. We DO NOT want to overload families, and we are very aware that many of you feel overwhelmed by all the information being shared on social media! However, we have also had requests for daily tasks from some P7s and their parents.

As the P7s agreed, you could do these tasks in any order, on any day, or not at all!

P7 Home Learning Tasks

These are suggested activities, agreed by P7 yesterday.  They wanted a mixture of tasks which are close to our weekly routine and don’t rely totally on technology all week.  We agreed that they could do each day’s tasks in any order, and that whatever you say is the priority for the day comes first!  I think they have done a great job!

Keep Checking the P7 Google Classroom (classwork section) for more detailed instructions and resources.

I will post a more detailed timetable for next week here on Monday 23rd March.

All the very best to you and your families,

And an elbow bump to all my P7s,

Miss Mullin

Digital Resources

P7 are very familiar with Google Drive (where our P7 profiles are stored,) Google Classroom, Education City, Active Learn and Duolingo. It is definitely worth checking these on a regular basis.

This week, we have been learning about several new digital resources which can also help with our learning: Giglets, Epic, Book Creator and Kahoot! (Miss Mullin will email out individual instructions on how to login in or join our classrooms on these sites over the coming days.)

6.3.20 Methods of Payment

As part of our “Pirates of the Curry Bean” Enterprise, P7 have been focusing on methods of payment and budgeting within their numeracy lessons. We have been using the RBS “My Money Sense” resource. It has useful sections for parents and young people: https://rbs.mymoneysense.com/home/

They worked in pairs to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of different methods of payment. They also had a go at making financial decisions for a family of 4 for one month, deciding whether to pay for different goods and services with a credit or debit card – it proved to be a challenge, and some people maxed out their credit cards!
