Yesterday, P7 enjoyed some Halloween-themed outdoor learning with Mrs James. After lunch, P7 shared their potions and pictures with P1/2!
As part of our learning about food and religion, we have been learning about religious rules about food in the Jewish faith.
We worked in pairs, using our Chromebooks to research different questions about Kosher food. We found out that there are over 5,000 Jewish people living in Scotland, mainly in the Glasgow-Edinburgh area. There are very few places which offer Kosher meals, other than in Glasgow. We discussed how useful it would be for people who work in shops, cafes and restaurants to understand what Kosher food laws are all about.
Ask us to share what we remember about Kosher foods.
Great job P7 cooks! 🙂
28.10.19 Our first two groups had a chance to cook their first family meal today of Salmon and Broccoli Noodles. We had a wee taste and all thought it was delicious. As of next week, we will start to write the recipes up and post them on the page above so that you can have a go at home too.
The next whole class transition event at GUHS will be a Quiz on Thursday 5th December. P7s will need to take their own snacks and drinks to the event.
Mrs James will walk the P7s to GUHS for a 9:30am start and will collect them at 12noon.
This will be another chance for all the P7s from Glenurquhart, Balnain and Cannich Bridge Primaries to work together. 🙂
Exciting news ~ pupils in Primary 6 and 7 have their Chromebooks now ready to take home today or tomorrow! Chargers can be left at home safely and will be returned to the Primary School along with the Chromebook and case at the end of P7. Pupils will take their Chromebook to school every day.
