GUHS PSAs will join us on our Wednesday and Thursday Google Meets this week.

Please can I remind P7s to log in and complete registration in the P7 Google Classroom by 11am every morning? Thank you!

This afternoon, the P7s found out which S1 register class they are in.
In the next few days, P7s need to check their GMail accounts for invitations to join their new S1 Google Classroom. Subsequent transition video meetings will take place here, rather than in the P7 one.
Also, parents of P7s need to check their emails for an invitation to join a Google Drive for S1 parents. This is the way that GUHS will share transition information with you over the coming weeks.
Next week, S1 transition handbooks will start to arrive through letterboxes. Some may be hand delivered and some will be posted. These are a very useful resource to help the P7s prepare for becoming S1s, and include a colour map, photos and names of the staff, and an example S1 timetable.
I hope that everyone got a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather over your long weekend.
Just to be clear, these are SUGGESTIONS for each day. We are hoping that the P7s can do some physical activity, something creative and half an hour of reading, writing and maths every day, and attend AT LEAST ONE class video meeting per week. We know that circumstances vary from week to week – please don’t worry if not a lot of school work can be done for any reason.
This week, the P7s also have a Transition Science Challenge from Mrs Nelson – see the P7 Google Classroom for details.

As ever, please email Miss Mullin with any questions, feedback or concerns at kirstine.mullin@glenurquharthigh.org.uk
You can download the suggested weekly timetable as a pdf below, or view it in the P7 Google Classroom.
For those who are looking for uniform, the High School have sent over their discount code for School Wear Made Easy – see below. This will only work for the High School uniform. More details on this will be included in Transition packs which will be issued soon.
Thanks to all the P7s for their continued patience, kindness, enthusiasm and hard work. We really appreciate it!

There will be another “Virtual Transition Event” (as part of our usual class video meetings) this Thursday at 12noon. This week we’ll meet 5 of the GUHS PSAs!
