Library Visits

P7 have already visited Glen Urquhart Public Library on two Tuesdays this term and are enjoying a wide range of written and audio texts for pleasure.

We try to choose three texts each time we visit: one fiction, one non-fiction and one free choice. We can take one of our books home at a time.

The library have kindly helped Miss Mullin out by lending us several recipe books for our food project. Many thanks!

A dramatic week!

Last week we enjoyed a drama workshop led by Louisa from The Dramabox. We started off playing a circle game called “Whoosh!” We had to listen carefully and react quickly to stay in the game. We also discussed improvisation, and how this can only work if everyone involved responds positively as well as creatively (2 of our school values!) Louisa demonstrated how to do this with one of our brave P7s.

Last Friday we all had a go in class. We had to start off with the line: “Excuse me, is this your beetle?” As you can see, some of us really got into character! 😉

30.8.19 Tuck Shop

On Friday 30th August, we held a successful tuck shop to raise funds for our residential trip to Loch Insh. Thanks to Mrs Tree and Mr Cameron, we bought a lot of cakes from Cobbs with our £40 budget. As you can see, there were lots of delicious treats to choose from. We counted and bagged up the money afterwards. We raised £103! Most of this money will be used towards the cost of the trip, but it does give us about £17 to spend on fruit, crisps and biscuits for our common room. 🙂

Many thanks to everyone for their support on the day!
